You don’t have to carry it all on your own.
Sometimes life feels heavier than it should. Maybe you’re overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in patterns you can’t seem to change, navigating a difficult relationship, healing from trauma, adjusting to a major life transition, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself. Whatever brought you here, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
I’m Carly Biros, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing telehealth therapy for children, teens, and adults throughout California and Oregon. Together, we’ll create a space where you can better understand yourself, heal from what’s been weighing you down, and build a life that feels more aligned with who you are.
Therapy isn’t about fixing you because you aren’t broken. It’s about helping you reconnect with your strengths, your values, and the parts of yourself that may have been buried beneath stress, pain, or survival. I don’t believe the therapist should be the expert on your life. I bring clinical knowledge; you bring your lived experience. The best therapy happens when we put those together.

What to expect in our sessions
My approach
I believe every person’s story makes sense in the context of their experiences, relationships, and the systems they’ve lived within. My work is grounded in narrative therapy, attachment theory, and relational psychotherapy. Together, we’ll explore the stories you’ve come to believe about yourself, identify the patterns that no longer serve you, and begin creating space for new possibilities. I also practice from a harm reduction perspective, meeting you where you are without judgment.
What therapy with me is like
My style is warm, collaborative, and conversational. I won’t sit silently taking notes while you wonder what I’m thinking. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, offer observations, celebrate your progress, and gently challenge the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I believe the strongest predictor of successful therapy is the relationship itself. My hope is that our sessions feel like a place where you can be fully yourself: messy, uncertain, hopeful, grieving, joyful, or all of those things at once.
Goal Setting
We’ll create goals together based on what matters most to you; not just reducing symptoms but building a life that feels meaningful and aligned with your values. We’ll also acknowledge the social, cultural, and systemic forces that shape your experience so that your goals fit your real life.
Our first session
Beginning therapy can feel intimidating, especially if it’s your first time. Our first session is simply an opportunity to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping for, and whether I feel like the right fit for your needs. If I’m not, I’m always happy to help connect you with someone who may be.
